Thorn is the grouchy, undead Big Bad. At least the Big Bad as far as our protagonists are aware (for a good long while). He actually works for an individual named Frail, who’s been orcastrating this whole operation since long before Thorn existed the way he does now.

Thorn is a nasty, ruthless piece of work. Once he has been sent to do something, he will not stop until he’s in literal pieces. Evident by the amount of limbs that have needed replacing.

Being dead for so long has lead to a complete disregard for his physical wellbeing. He can still feel pain, it just doesn’t mean anything to him. He couldn’t die again even if he tried.

Due to his half-life, he can’t eat, he can’t sleep, he’s just angry and tired all the time. Yet he’s somehow also quite the self-important hot-head.

He intentionally numbs himself to the suffering of others so that he can continue to do his work. The possibility that he can’t live with what he’s doing is less terrifying than the alternative. He has suffered the worst out of everyone he’s met (as far as he can tell, or cares to tell), so whatever he does to keep himself going is fair game.
